Activity 2
1. Chart your “typical” day on this graph. The left side gives numbers 0 through 6. Zero indicates complete inactivity, sleep or deep rest; 6 is the highest degree of activity or alertness. The bottom line represents the hours of the day.

2. Now that you can see your “up” and “down” times, think about the activities you do at various hours. You might want to write along the curve the activities done at various times during the day.
3. Now make a list of all the things you will do tomorrow:
Do Not Go On Until
Go Ahead Is Given.
4. Why become more efficient at doing what you should be doing in the first place? Look at your list in #3, and insert each task into either Cage A or Cage B. Be sure you are honest in your answers!
| A. How many monkeys on my list are mine to feed and care for? | B. Which ones could (be given to different caretakers? Who? |
5. Look carefully at all the monkeys (tasks) in Cage A. Identify with a 4 all those you would rather starve or poison (avoid or put off).
6. Make a new list. Consider your energy level during the day, from #1 and #2. Also, consider those items you have checked in Cage A. Alternate things you like to do with tasks you dislike doing. Try to schedule your less favorite tasks during your “up” times. When you are feeling saggy, plan to do something that is more pleasant to do.

7. Try out this new “feeding schedule” tomorrow. Don’t be afraid to revise it for the following days. With practice, patience, and perseverance, you will be an expert zookeeper in no time at all!
