Dealing With Household Pests
To Keep Pests Out of Your House

- Wipe up spills immediately
- Take garbage outside.
- Remember to clean under appliances.
- Close up any holes in your house where pests can enter.
- Use screens for your windows and doors to keep out flying insects.
- Put food scraps in a garbage can or plastic bag and close tightly.
- Wash dishes immediately after a meal. If you can’t wash dishes, scrape
and rinse them.
- Store all foods, including those packaged in cellophane or cardboard, in
glass, metal or hard plastic containers with tight-fitting lids.
Remember, pests can:
- Spread disease.
- Cause discomfort through bites and stings.
- Undermine the structure of your home.
- Destroy your belongings and furnishings.
