  • Wipe up spills immediately
  • Take garbage outside.
  • Remember to clean under appliances.
  • Close up any holes in your house where pests can enter.
  • Use screens for your windows and doors to keep out flying insects.
  • Put food scraps in a garbage can or plastic bag and close tightly.
  • Wash dishes immediately after a meal. If you can’t wash dishes, scrape and rinse them.
  • Store all foods, including those packaged in cellophane or cardboard, in glass, metal or hard plastic containers with tight-fitting lids.

Remember, pests can:

  • Cause discomfort through bites and stings.
  • Undermine the structure of your home.
  • Destroy your belongings and furnishings.
