Pool Safety

Picture of many people in a large swimming pool.

  • Don't run around the pool edge, you could slip and get hurt, or fall in.

  • It is dangerous to duck people, and it can scare them.

  • Be thoughtful of other swimmers. Watch were you are going, so you don't collide with other swimmers in the pool.

  • If you are allowed to use equipment, be careful with it.

  • Don't jump into the pool without checking below you.  Jumping on someone can cause serious injuries.

  • Never throw someone in as a joke.  They can hit their head or have other serious injuries.

  • Obey all swimming pool rules.

  • Obey all lifeguards on duty.
