Arkansas 4-H members, volunteers, and supporters: Show your love for 4-H while driving down the street! Specialty 4-H License Plate plates are a great way to show off your pride in 4-H and to provide financial support to one of the state’s largest youth programs. After just nine months of sales, the 4-H license plate program raised over $2,600 for 2004 State 4-H Scholarships and County 4-H Programs. The 2005 distributions are expected to be much larger. For each plate purchased, $25 goes to support 4-H. One half supports the State 4‑H Scholarship Program and the other half supports the county 4-H program where the purchaser is a resident. The 4-H license plate costs $35 a year above the cost of your regular vehicle registration. To get your 4‑H license plate, you will need to complete a “Request for U. of A. Division of Agriculture Special License Plate Form (PDF)” available from the Department of Motor Vehicles or a County Extension Office. Get your plates at select Revenue Offices in Conway, El Dorado, Fayetteville, Harrison, Hot Springs (Airport Office), Jonesboro, Little Rock (Charles Ragland Taxpayer Service Center), Mountain View, Pine Bluff, Russellville, Texarkana, Van Buren and West Memphis. Or you can purchase them through the mail: Department of Finance and Administration, P.O. Box 1272, Special License Plate Unit, Room 1040, Little Rock, AR 72203. Get your 4-H License Plate today and let people know you care about Arkansas’ youth! |
