Arkansas 4-H State Camps
Counselor Opportunities

WHAT: Counselor opportunities for Forestry & Wildlife Camp, Operation Military Kids Camps, State 4-H Cloverbud Camp, State 4-H Junior Camp, State 4-H Adventure & Challenge Camp

Those selected have a unique opportunity to develop their leadership skills, make new friends, and learn about the inner operation of camp. Counselors are required to live at the 4-H Center while camp is in session and are required to participate in training for the camp if they are chosen as a counselor.

Counselors will need to furnish their own transportation to and from the 4-H Center. Counselors are not to stay at the 4-H Center when camp is NOT in session.

WHO: 4-H members 14 to 19 years old

WHEN: Arkansas 4-H State Camps in July. Counselors will report to the 4-H Center the afternoon prior to the camp session they are working.

  • Forestry & Wildlife Camp in June
  • Operation Military Kids Camps spring, summer, fall.

Mandatory Counselor Training for those selected for the July state camps – May 21-22 (begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday)

WHERE: C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock*

* some of the Operation Military Kids camps will NOT be at the 4-H Center

COST: No fee. Must provide own transportation to and from the 4-H Center.
