SEEK: Science for home-schooling students
The 4-H Arkansas Outdoor School (AOS) Science Enrichment Education for Kids program, or
SEEK, is a program established to help meet the science needs of
home-schooled children. The program’s mission is to provide hands-on
science experience in a fun and safe indoor/outdoor classroom
environment.

Our SEEK semester generally runs from early December through
early March. We currently have four days of programming (Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) with students attending from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., one
day a week for 12 weeks. The program is designed for the following
study levels:
Each class accommodates 15 students.

In 2006 and again in 2009, SEEK received a national "Programs of Distinction" award
from the National 4-H Headquarters and the Cooperative State
Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES). The program received an "Award of Excellence" from the
MetLife Foundation in 2008.
