Arkansas 4-H Projects
4-H Journal
Journal Initiatives and Projects

Good News! Journals may be submitted in any project area affiliated with our seven state initiatives. Each county will be allowed to submit the number of journals in ( ) beside each state initiative or subcategory under an initiative in each age division, Beginner (9-12), Intermediate (13-15), and Advanced (16-19). For example, each county may submit eight journals in Animal Science. These eight books may be in eight of the projects listed, or might include one Rabbit journal, three Beef journals, two Horse journals, one Dairy Science journal, and one Goat journal. Eight winners in Animal Science will be announced, however, winners will not be declared in individual project areas. A county may submit a total of 54 journals in Beginner and Intermediate levels, and 42 journals in the Advanced level.

The following table places the journal categories in which we have previously named winners, as well as some additional suggested project areas, into the seven state initiative areas. One of the journal objectives is to recognize 4-H members for the progress they are making towards their project goals.
