Project RecordsAll 4-H records submitted for district or state honors must be in a 4-H club member's record binder. Each year's work should be reported on a calendar basis beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31. Contact the county Extension office for due dates.
Note: Beginners: A 4-H member must be 9 years old as of January 1 the year in which the Journals are judged. Intermediates: A 4-H member must be 13 years old as of January 1 the year in which the Journals are judged. Advanced: A 4-H member may not submit a Journal for judging if they are not eligible to be a 4-H member the year in which the Journals are judged. (4-H members who turn 19 in one calendar year are not eligible to submit a 4-H Journal the following calendar year.)
Advanced Journal winners will be eligible to apply for Category B scholarships (available to former state advanced Journal winners only) the year they are a graduating high school senior. To be eligible for these scholarships, graduating high school senior 4-H members or those who are already in college should submit a completed scholarship application and must have been accepted to the college or institution of higher learning of their choice. See Arkansas 4-H Activities and Events for further information. |
