Introduction

Welcome to the world of 4-H. In order to maintain and smoothly operate the 4-H program, it takes a great deal of structure and many procedures. This Arkansas 4-H State Online Policy Handbook is designed as a resource for all Extension faculty and volunteers working with the 4-H program. It was developed with input from 4-H members, volunteer leaders, and Extension faculty.

It is intended that this be a living document and an important reference. The contents will be regularly reviewed to insure its relevance and accuracy in meeting the needs of Extension faculty and volunteers. From time to time changes or additions may be made, however these changes will be communicated to staff when they occur.

It is also important to note that the policies included in this online Policy Handbook supplant any other state 4-H policies or guidelines otherwise printed or stated which may disagree or conflict with those included in this handbook.
